Transhumance | Reportage

As part of my work, I had the incredible opportunity to take part in the transhumance of 300 sheep through the Parc régional du Jura vaudois on October 12 and 13, 2023. This long journey spanned three days.

The sheep set out from their summer pasture at Creux du Croue and arrived at Col du Mollendruz. Leaving the alpine pastures for lambing, they will return in June.

It was a fantastic and deeply emotional experience, where the bond between humans and animals was at the heart of every moment. I warmly thank the entire team for opening the door to their lives. It was a remarkable encounter—both human and animal—set against a dreamlike landscape that I will never forget.

At the Sheepfold | Reportage

After taking part in the transhumance of 300 sheep (see the photos above), I returned to the sheepfold to witness the birth of the lambs. Once again, it was a deeply emotional moment, where teamwork shone brilliantly. I warmly thank the family who welcomed me once more <3
