Why Big Apple?
Partly because this year marked the 10th anniversary of September 11. Even though I had never seen the skyline with its two towers, each of us knows exactly where they once stood.
In the aftermath, New York City became a symbol of resilience in a world reshaped by the fight against terrorism.
But also because this vibrant metropolis had always been a childhood dream of mine—one that I finally had the chance to live and share. Its lines and curves twist skyward, leaving you with a crick in your neck from walking with your head held high. Drawn by these endless perspectives, I sought to capture them in my own way, adding a touch of rainbow—because that’s how I had always imagined the Big Apple.
To me, the city is like a candy jar, tempting us to taste all its flavors, whether we are children or adults.
This series is also a tribute—to all those who left us too soon.
